Connect Laptop a projector
Applies to Windows 7
You can connect your computer to a projector
to give a presentation on a large screen.
The instructions below describe how to connect
to a projector by plugging the projector cable into a video port on your
computer. This is the most common way to connect a projector.
You can also connect to some projectors
(called network
projectors) over a network. This
allows you to give a presentation over a network if you aren't in the same
room, or even the same building, as the projector. To see if your projector has
this network capability, check the information that came with the projector or
contact the manufacturer.
To connect to a
projector
1.
Make sure the
projector is turned on, and then plug the projector cable into a video port on
your computer.
- Projectors use VGA or DVI cables. You must plug the cable into a matching video port on your computer. Although some computers have both types of video ports, most laptops just have one type. Some projectors can be connected to a USB port on your computer with a USB cable.
2.
Open Control Panel by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control
Panel.
3.
In the search box,
type projector, and then click Connect to a
projector.
(To use a keyboard shortcut instead of Control
Panel, press the Windows logo key +P).
4.
Select how you want
your desktop to be displayed:
·
Computer only (This shows your desktop only on your computer screen.)
·
Duplicate (This shows your
desktop on both your computer screen and a projector.)
·
Extend (This extends your
desktop from your computer screen to a projector.)
·
Projector only (This shows your desktop only on a projector.)
The four choices for how to display your desktop
Note
- You can use this same procedure to connect your computer to a monitor instead of a projector.
The Security Certificate Warning (Error) in IE, Mozilla Firefox & Google Chrome
The Security Certificate Warning looks like as shown below
for IE, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Click to enlarge the images.
Microsoft IE- There is a problem with this web site Security
Certificate
Mozilla Firefox – Secure Connection Failed
Google Chrome – The server’s Security Certificate is not yet
valid
Fix:
The main reasons for such errors are:
Your Computer’s date is set to a wrong value.
The Security Certificate has really expired.
The web-site is not trustable.
Most common reason for such security certificate error is
that the certificates are valid for a certain period of time, and if your
computer’s date is set to other than the current date or correct date, there
are high chances that you will get this warning. So the first thing to check
when you receive such error is to check your computer’s date and time settings.
If the date time keep re-setting again and again, then see this post on CMOS
battery problem.
Now when you have set the date settings, you will most
probably not see the this error again. But if you see the Security Certificate
error, then either the certificate of the website has really expired as it had
to be renewed from time to time, or the site is not trustable.
TIP: Never ever put your important login id or password on
such pages if you see the Security certificate error.

How to remove virus from your system using command prompt, and without anti virus
100% working trick
How to remove virus from your system using command prompt, and without anti virus?
Go to start -> type cmd -> once your command prompt window is opened.
select the drive form which you want to remover virus
for example w...e take "D" drive
D:\>
your "D" drive will be displayed like this on your command prompt window.... Now write the following command...
D:\>attrib -s -h *.* /s /d
the above command will unhide each and every single file on your "D" drive including the virus exe's and autorun.inf file.
once the above command is compiled again you'll see a message
D:\>
this is indicates that the above command executed successfully... Now type "dir" command
D:\>dir
and press enter, DIR is used to list all the files and directories on present on "D" drive....
After the successful execution of DIR command, all the files and folder will be listed on the prompt window...
Now check for suspicious files (i.e. exe's) and autorun.inf files,
once you find the above files.... just rename them and do change their extensions...
look example
D:\> rename autorun.inf abcde.pqr
this command will rename autorun.inf file to abcde with extension as "pqr"
same action can be performed over the exe files.
This code can be used with external storage media like pendrive.
NOTE: As autorun.inf files are used in order to run the virus exe as soon as the directory is opened by the user... So whenever you find any autorun.inf file, just rename them, because they are more dangerous than the virus itself,
exe file cannot execute itself, either you need to click on it or autorun.inf files are used to execute them.
Recover Formatted or Deleted Data
Recover Formatted or Deleted Data: (For More Guidance or Share your experience please Comment below)
The Possibility of Data Recovery after Formatting When you perform a formatting on a storage device such as memory card, ...hard disk, flash drive, or external hard disk drive etc; the data inside the storage device will be erased and get lost. However, it is still possible to restore the lost data with format recovery software. As a matter of fact, the deleted files after formatting are still intact inside the storage device. With the help of format recovery software, it is possible to recover lost photos, videos, music, documents, images etc after formatting. In this article, I would like to recommend two kinds of powerful format recovery software to you.
Free Download Data Recovery Software to Recover Files after formatting
First format recovery software (iCare Data Recovery Free) to recover data after formatting
It is free and it only has a small size, so you can easily download and install it to your computer. It only takes up a little resource of your computer.
Download iCare recovery free
Step1. Connect the storage device like to the computer. Once you have installed the format recovery software on your computer successfully, launch the software and choose the "Format Recovery" module for data recovery after formatting.
Step2. Choose the partition where you need to recover lost files and click "Recover" button, after which the program will begin to scan the selected partition in order to find the lost data.
Step3. After the scanning, you can see a partition list that contains all the partitions the software has found. Choose all the partitions and click the "Show Files" option to view all the files. Select all the files and click "Files Preview" button to preview those found files.
Step4. Mark all the files you want to recover and click "Save Files" button. Then choose a partition and create a new folder to save the selected files. Stop saving the selected files to the original partition in order to avoid original data being overwritten.
Second format recovery software(Stellar Data Recovery for Windows) for format recovery
Download Stellar for Format Recovery
The second format recovery software is also free and the steps are very easy as below:
Step1. Download and install the software to your computer. Launch the software and choose a recovery module for your case.
Step2. Choose the drive where you want to recover data and click "Start Scan" button. Then the software will scan the drive you selected and search for the lost files.
Step3. The whole scan process will be short; you only need to wait patiently while the scanning.
Step4. After scan, you can preview all the found files and save them to any other partition instead of the original one.
The Possibilities That You May Perform a Formatting
Although it is possible to recover lost data afterformatting, the chance of formatting recovery depends on how you format the partition. For example, if you format the partition by accident and you haven’t written any new data to the formatted partition before data recovery; the chance of data recovery is extremely good. However, if the partition has not formatted error and forces you to perform a formatting; you should be careful with this situation. You have two choices for this situation, either format it or not format it. And the result will also be completely different. If you format the partition, the not formatted error may disappear but the data inside will be erased and the chance of data recovery is not good. If you don’t format the partition, you will have no way to access the data inside but the data can be recovered with format recovery software.
What You Should Pay Attention to When You Lose Data after Formatting?
1. No more new data to the formatted partition
Any new added data to the formatted partition will overwrite the lost files and make the data recovery difficult or even impossible.
2. No physical damage to the formatted partition
Once the partition has suffered physical damage, the data recovery is impossible.
